Japanese food and more RAMEN...

Quite a few months did not update my blog. After my long holiday in Australia and New Zealand, a bit lazy to type..haa.

Talk about holiday stuff next time.

Today went to another Japanese restaurant to try new food. My friend Wei Bin recommended it so give it a try this time. But travel all the way from Bouna Vista to Siglap is not fun. Take bus, change MRT and take bus again. Took me near 1.5 hours for me to get the restaurant.

We reached about 7.30pm and was rather crowded. Since only 2 of us, we were able to get a table faster. We ordered a 'Grilled Cod Fish with miso paste' to share and I ordered 'Spider Maki' (Soft shell crab maki)and Char siew shoyu ramen as main.

The Spider Maki was nicely done. The soft shell crab is light and crispy, not oily.

The char siew shoyu ramen was good too. The soup was tasty with nice shoyu flavor and sweet after taste. The ramen is slightly overdone, but still acceptable. Char siew was soft and tender and you wont feel greasy even eating the fatty layer.

However, the best dish was the grilled cod. It was SOOOOO FRESH. Tender flakes of fish just melt in your mouth when you bite on it and the freshness of the fish was just so captivating. My friend and I just keep eating it continuously, though it was just a small piece, we savor every bite of it. I can eat down 2 pieces with no problem. So sweet, fresh and light.. yummy.

This is a restaurant that is worth going back... yum....
